We meet with you and learn about your vision for the project. We understand your goals. We really get a feel for who your target market is, and how they should be communicated to. We thoroughly review references – whether from our own work, or work you’ve seen and liked, ensuring that we are on the same page and have a similar expectation of creative and technical treatment.

We provide a working schedule for each project – outlining key dates and dates of delivery for each production phase. We also identify and allow for your review days. This document can then be used as a guide to ensure on-time delivery and no surprises.

Then it’s a simple four step process!

  1. We create a script
  2. Then unique characters and / or designs
  3. We create a storyboard
  4. We animate!

we pride ourselves on keeping you informed via email, phone calls, digital review tools and more. This helps you understand where we’re at and ensures the final project is in-line with, or exceeds your expectations.

Totes McGotes! Our pricing does include script writing and storyboard development. You’ve already put together a script or storyboard? Awesome, we can work with you to ensure it’s ready for animation.

Then get the heck out of here! Nah jk. Of course we can help out. Your best bet is to get in touch with one of our producers and take it from there.

Brilliant question. For many years animation was strictly a Saturday morning in your PJs medium. But like all great things it’s evolved to be an incredibly versatile way to connect businesses and their audiences. It’s great for:

  • Grabbing eyes and superfast communication.
  • Explaining complex content in easy to grasp ways.
  • Doing what live-action can’t. Got a camera that can go inside a phone? Or into the subdermal layers of skin? Lucky you… (also please make contact we’d like to invest)
  • Creating a visual world that’s uniquely yours.
  • Helping people find your brand, ‘get’ it’s personality and build a relationship with you.

Google loves video. It’s algorithms definitely bump your website up if you have videos. Google’s bots look for indicators of your site’s health, such as keywords, relevance to the searched topic and page quality among others.

Video improves your SERP (Search Engine Results Page) rank, by:

  • Boosting your click-through and engagement rates.
  • Upping the user time spent on each page.
  • Lowering your bounce rates.
  • Building top-notch and relevant backlinks.

Boy, you have all the good questions. This one really is about, what are you trying to do? We’ve worked in both areas for decades now and while we love live-action animation has lots of advantages.

  • Less labour-intensive
  • No need for time-consuming coordination and logistics. Live action filming often involves location bookings, talent bookings, crew bookings. bookings bookings bookings… ughhh.
  • Easier (and cheaper) to correct mistakes
  • Not limited to reality. Want unicorns dabbing? We got you.

The short answer is anywhere you want! Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tiktok… the list goes on. We’re an increasingly visual world and content is king. You can (and should) host your video on as many platforms as your brand exists on. Heck this might be just the thing to get your brand on the hip new thing your kids are telling you about.

MadeBy offers a range of different options that are designed to suit most types of budgets.

But often the larger cost comes with video content marketing cost (buying ads to promote it through your social media channels, like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter).

It’s always best to consider both components – production costs and promotion costs – and be strategic about it. If you’re careful and thorough in that process you’ll find you should have ample budget for both video production and promotion.

You bet! After working with clients from all over the world for over 20 years we not only can work with businesses outside our local area, we LOVE working with clients from all over. We also love it when clients fly us to visit them… 😉

When do you need it? No but seriously. Depending on the complexity of your project it can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months.

The time for each production phase (scripting, style development, storyboarding, VO, animation, etc) depends on your timeline, approval process and complexity of the work.
